We brought TJ's Hearing in last week to do over 70 employee hearing assessments and the service was amazing. Anton is very professional and his expertise was appreciated by our staff. Everyone raved about the service. We will definitely be bringing him back again.

Is your workplace required to test?
If workers are exposed to noise above 85 dBA, or wear respirators, the Occupational Health and Safety Regulation sets out what your program has to include. We cover all three on one visit.

Annual hearing tests
A test within six months of hire and every 12 months after, by a WorkSafeBC-authorized tester. Two booths per truck, and we submit the results for you.
How mobile testing works
Hearing protection workers will wear
Custom-moulded earplugs, fitted on site and filtered to the job. Comfortable for a full shift and compatible with the rest of your PPE, so they stay in.
About custom earplugs
Respirator fit testing
Qualitative fit tests to CSA Z94.4, repeated every year and documented per worker, with a copy for your records.
About fit testingWhat a site visit looks like
You give us a headcount and a date. We plan the flow with you, run two booths in parallel, and keep your line running.
-
Book with a headcount
We schedule around your hours to make sure everyone is tested during their respective work hours.
-
The truck arrives on site
Our technician parks the mobile unit close to the floor. Two sound-insulated booths and two calibrated audiometers are ready to go.
-
Two workers test at a time
Two workers test simultaneously to maintain an efficient testing schedule. Each receives their results explained one-on-one, so they understand what everything means.
-
You get the records
Results go to WorkSafeBC as required, and you receive documentation for your program file. Fit tests are documented per worker with a copy for you.
Annual testing catches damage while it can still be stopped.
Noise-induced hearing loss is permanent, and it starts quietly: a dip in the 3,000 to 6,000 Hz range, often first at 4,000 Hz, that a worker will not notice for years. A yearly audiogram shows the change while there is still time to fix the exposure, adjust protection, and keep the loss from spreading into the speech range.
- Pure-tone testing in a sound-insulated booth, recorded on an audiogram
- Year-over-year comparison, so a shift shows up early
- Results explained to the worker, not just filed
Built around how a site actually runs
What matters most to us is that every visit runs a little more efficiently than the last.
Two workers at a time
Every truck carries two sound booths and two audiometers. Two people test simultaneously, so testing keeps pace with your shift instead of holding it up.
Always streamlining on site
This is what sets us apart. We keep refining how a testing day runs: the order workers come through, paperwork done as we go, both booths never idle. The aim is fewer interruptions for you and a lower cost per test.
Paperwork handled
Test results are submitted to WorkSafeBC and you get documentation for your program file, without chasing anyone.
What safety and operations leads say
We have been receiving prompt service without any delays. Not too many companies go out of their way to accommodate the way TJ's Workplace Hearing Testing does.
We have used TJ's for a few years now for our annual hearing and respirator fit tests at both of our locations. Very professional and reliable. I even gave them the wrong number of people and Anton still got everyone done.
